James (Jim) Bullen

Since retiring in 1988 after more than 30 years with the B.C. Forest Service, I have been able to pursue my existing interests and develop some new ones.

In August 2006 I bought a Sony DSC-H2 camera. My little Canon Powershot A60 was a great camera and I'd had a lot of fun with it. But it had a number of limitations that were becoming frustrating.  Two megapixels was almost enough for my purposes, but not quite. My new "prosumer" camera offers vastly greater flexibility with 6 megapixels and a 12 times optical zoom lense.

You will see on this web site a selection of photographs taken recently with the new Sony camera, the old Canon A60, and with various ancient cameras which I have had over the years. The various albums include family pictures and photo collections taken on our visits to fascinating places here and in other countries.

In addition to my on-going gardening and photographic interests, I have researched the histories of both of my family lines. My ancestors came from Scotland and the north of England. Visit my Family History Page where you will find photographs and family tree information.
